Are you a midwife in England who cares for refugee and asylum seeking women? Do you have 5 minutes to complete a quick web-based survey?
My name is Amanda Firth and I am a midwife and PhD student at the University of Bradford. My research considers how maternity services could be improved to more effectively care for refugee and asylum seeking women with perinatal depression. The survey has ethical approval, is anonymous and confidential. The survey aims to analyse different models of care across England. You can access it via the link below:
Additionally I will be looking to speak with midwives via telephone about care of refugee and asylum seeking women with perinatal depression for the next part of my research. At the end of the survey you will be asked if you would like more information about the next phase – it would be great if you considered this too, but it is entirely optional.
If you would like any further information about the project you can contact me on [email protected] . Paper copies of the survey can also be provided upon request.
I would appreciate your involvement – this is an exciting project which hopes to contribute to improving the perinatal mental health of refugee and asylum seeking women in England.
Please do forward this email to any other midwives who work with refugee and asylum seeking women too.
Many thanks for your time.
